Worn linings are usually removed from the steel work bowls cryogenically (i.e., the bowls are cooled down to -328° F / -200° C). The shock of cooling reinforces the stresses already existing in the steel construction due to everyday use, greatly increasing the risk of cracked work bowls.
Rösler"s unique thermo-strip method utilizes a special environmentally-friendly thermal system to completely remove old linings. This system provides a beneficial heat treatment (stress relief) effect which will extend the life of the work bowl.
After the old lining is removed, the surface of the work bowl is shot blasted in preparation for the new lining.
A Rösler reline is equivalent to a general overhaul of the entire work bowl. |
